Expert Wheel Throwing Tuition
There's a reason the wheel never stops being addictive. Ten minutes in, you're covered in clay and grinning. Our wheel throwing classes are small; never more than two people so you get real tuition, not just a wheel and a wave.
Enjoy friendly, practical throwing tuition in our garden studio in Aston, in-between Whitchurch and Nantwich. Whether you’re completely new to clay or developing your skills, we’ll guide you through hand throwing on the wheel at your own pace.
We have two pottery wheels, so wheel time is shared when needed. Materials, tools, aprons and refreshments are provided.
Our approach is to help you create what YOU wish to make. We have lots of pictures, books and images to inspire you, or you might already have in mind what you want to make. We're here to help you develop the skills, and create pots that excite you.
Sometimes we have workshops dedicated to specific makes, but most of the time we help everyone as individuals to make unique makes they can be proud of!

How the sessions run
Choose a single 3-hour studio session (£45) to just try the wheel.
You can commit to a course: our 6-Week, 6-evenings Wheel Throwing Course (£395) takes you from first wobble to finished, glazed pieces.
Our 3-Day Intensive (£495) covers the same ground in three focused days.
Or you can book 5 sessions for £195 or 10 sesssions for £360 for practice sessions where you really do learn the skills.
All clay is included, as much as you want to use, all firings and glazes with no additional firing charges made.
