Ceramic Butter Crock - with optional personalised message

Made in our Cheshire pottery studio, each crock combines timeless style with everyday practicality; a charming addition to any kitchen and a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves quality handmade ceramics.

The crock works by keeping butter sealed and cool: you pack softened butter into the lid and add a little water to the base, which creates an airtight seal. The result is spreadable butter at room temperature, no fridge needed.

Each butter crock is thrown, glazed and fired by hand, so glazes vary gently from piece to piece;  that’s what makes yours truly one of a kind. The food-safe stoneware is made to be used and enjoyed every day. It makes a lovely housewarming, birthday or Christmas gift for food lovers, or a treat for your own kitchen. Pair it with fresh bread for a gift that’s practical, beautiful and a little bit indulgent.

Please note all of our ceramic items are made to order so please be mindful of this when placing your order. Items can take between 3-6 weeks depending on the size of the item we make.  Clay has to dry before we can put it in the kiln to bisque it, and then we have to glaze it and fire it again.  When you have placed your order we will keep you updated as to progress and your delivery date.
